DO NOT BUY, June 20, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Power Acoustik PTID-8300NR Digital 8.3-Inch Flip-Up TFT-LCD Touch Screen, NaviBox-1 Ready, without Bluetooth (Electronics) I bought this unit from Amazon and it did not work for even a single day. I contacted Power Acoustik and found them to be the most unhelpful company EVER. First I was sent on a merry-go-round via email to their various departments. Then I was told that in the entire world, they have only ONE service and repair center, which is in California.
Once the unit was installed in my car, we found that the flip out unit would just not stay and retracted into the main unit within 5 seconds. I tried to ask Power Acoustik what the problem might be and if they could help me out with spares and stuff, and the only reply I got, after multiple emails, was that they can offer no suggestions over email and the unit must be sent to them for repair. I tried to mention that I stay in another country and sending it to them would not be possible. I asked if they could at least tell me what MIGHT be the problem so that I could get a local mechanic to fix it. Nothing. Zilch. Send the unit to us, or... Read more

This function does NOT work. The iC-2 cable that you have to use to connect your device to the unit gives an error that the cable isn't supported by Apple. I am very displease with the issue. This defeats the purpose of upgrading my head unit. Power Acoustik, it would be nice if you mention this to people before they waste their money. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
