This is a legal non-hacked version of the player indeed!
This player is VERY fast and responsive to commands. Nice.
It will play just about anything including avis, MKVs, Xvid avis, VCDs, SVCDs, music cds, etc. It's NTSC and PAL compatible. To use the USB port to play files, you have to push the "media center" button on the remote. Pretty fast on loading both DVDs and Blu-Ray discs.

Hit enter on the cofig menu and you get DVD Region, BD Region & BD Profile on the menu. Go down to the BD Region and hit enter. You now can choose Region A, B or C. When you are finished watching your Blu-Ray remember to reset to Region A for USA made Blu-Rays. I now have 2 units but will keep one at my girlfriends' house as I bought her a 3D TV. Now that I have this unit, I will buy all the Blu-Ray's from England that you can't get here in the US. I highly recommend this player.
