I've tried half of all my region 2 disks and they all look and sound great.
My last region free player was off brand and junk.
The options to tune audio and video quality make this player seem like a transition from night to day over my old one.
It took me awhile to choose a region free player from amazon because I saw so many bad or mixed reviews. After seeing this and a small assortment of all positive reviews I took the chance and bought this one and I'm glad I did!

- Has a euro style electric plug but has a NA converter
- Does come with a remote + batteries

And it does in fact play all DVDs of all regions. But it won't play all formats downloaded from online as my Philips DVD player will. If you don't care about playing youtube videos and all other things downloaded from online and burned to a disc, then this DVD player will be quite adequate for your needs.
