Does not play region B or C Blu-ray - 110-240V WorldWide Voltage (Electronics) I bought this player to view region 2 discs and to serve as a back-up Blu-ray player. It performs those functions pretty well but if you plan to use it for accessing internet content including firmware updates beware. It may work for Blu-ray live features but I haven't tried that. NetFlix, Utube or other online services? Forget it. If you only need a player this seems to be a good unit but definitely don't buy if you plan to use those services. Also the user guide is pretty much useless and online help is virtually nonexistant.

Does not play region B or C Blu-ray - 110-240V WorldWide Voltage (Electronics) Even though not even close to a name brand, I thought I'd take a chance on the OREI BDP-M1 because of the 1) Blu-ray and all region DVD play capabilities and 2) generally positive reviews. After a week of using it, here's what I found:
- DVDs (region 2 and even region 1 North America) would occasionally lock up on the machine. Had to unplug to have them eject, since all controls were unresponsive.
- Some commands, particularly "no subtitles" on BBC disc top menus would sometimes not be responsive.
- Very flimsy and non-intuitive remote.
- Amazingly thin user manual and not even a pdf available.
- A company that doesn't seem to be all there: Take a look at their support webpage (yep, 1 page for all products - sheesh). For warranty service, you pay them $15 plus shipping both ways someplace - I couldn't find an address. Check:[...]
Maybe I got a bad copy, but I doubt it. The OREI was banished from our house. This product did not deserve... Read more
